Meaning "super light" in Italian, RIEDEL Superleggero debuted in 2018 as a brilliant testament to the glassware leader's talented glassmaking team.

This series is the evolution of three generations' designs: in 1958, 9th generation Claus Riedel created the world’s first ‘wine-friendly’ glasses with Sommeliers; 10th generation Georg Riedel later adapted each shape to harmonise with specific grape varieties; now 11th generation Maximilian Riedel has spearheaded the next step with the release of RIEDEL Superleggero.

Still using the highly skilled technique of handcrafting, the RIEDEL Superleggero series is lead-free and features slimmer aesthetics with a ‘super light’ design - as reflected in the name. This evolved design has been perfected by Maximilian, with the inclusion of an astoundingly long and elegant stem while maintaining durability for the dishwasher. The collection also features the series logo on the base of the glass alongisde the RIEDEL logo.

The series is handmade in lead-free crystal glass, and sold in a single piece. All RIEDEL glassware is dishwasher safe.

Drawing on 60 years of wine experience and expertise, the new Riedel Superleggero Series is designed to carry the charm of a handmade glass with added superior lightness.
