Nearly a decade after RIEDEL introduced grape-varietal-specific glasses to the world of glassware, they applied the same concept to spirit glasses. The world's most renowned spirit experts participated in extensive tasting workshops, and the tasters analyzed the effect of shapes, sizes, and rim diameters to create instruments that express the individual character and originality of the beverage.
RIEDEL Bar brings this collection of superior spirits glasses together, with each glass finely tuned to increase the enjoyment of spirits. They show the unique character of the beverage, highlighting the tempting fruitiness and de-emphasizing the evidence of alcohol on the nose and palate.
Working with nostalgia for retro, heavy-based glasses, RIEDEL has introduced four decorated barware designs. Each offer two different sized glasses, accounting for a variety of drinks and cocktails at home.
The four designs are inspired by the glamorous Art Nouveau period, with stylish decoration, and present a contrast to RIEDEL's purist, unadorned wine glasses.
Louis
Two ‘Louis’ tumblers were created as part of the RIEDEL Design Awards 2017 in Venice, when Kyle Solá won the RIEDEL Young Designer Competition with his innovative design.
Optical O
‘Optical O’ is based on the popular ‘O’ series of stemless wine glasses and was designed by Maximilian J. Riedel. With two different sizes, these glasses are perfect for cocktails, mixed drinks and soft drinks alike.
Fire
‘Fire’ is distinguished by its dynamic, flame-like decoration and was designed by Georg J. Riedel. These elegant glasses are made to be lighter and finer than the sturdier ‘Louis’ range.
Shadows
Created by Maximilian J. Riedel, this decorative tumbler is designed to mimic a reflective shadow with its linear pattern.
