Albariño

Grown primarily in the northern and western parts of Spain and Portugal, Abariño is a white skinned and white fleshed grape, originally cultivated in the 12th century. Albariño wines are generally light and have aromatic peach notes, with a high level of crisp acidity on the palate. In Portugal, the grape is known as Albarinho and it is the main grape used to produce Vinho Verde.
