Brandy

Originally developed by the Dutch in the 16th century, brandy is a spirit that is made through the distillation of wine, though other distilled fermented fruit juices are also referred to as brandy. Usually between 35% and 60% alcohol by volume, brandy is often aged in oak barrels which gives additional flavour and character.
