Alsace Grand Cru

Alsace Grand Cru is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for certain wines from the French Alsace wine region. First recognised in 1975, most Alsace Grand Cru wines are single varietal white wines from the four noble Alsatian grapes: Riesling; Muscat; Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. Currently, 51 vineyards in the region are designated as Grand Crus due to the strict requirements that need to be met.
