Sekt

This sparkling wine is produced in Germany and Austria and may be made through the Charmat method or the traditional method for premium wines. Often made using the Riesling, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris and Pinot noir grapes and drunk locally, Sekt wine is often sweet, with aromas of white flowers, peach, and apple, and is generally lower in alcohol than the likes of Champagne.
