Fronsac is an appellation located in Bordeaux which produces red wines. An area with a history reaching back hundreds of years, wines from Fronsac use a variety of red grapes, with Merlot being the dominant grape, Cabernet franc often being paired with Merlot, and Malbec often being used to add complexity to the wines. Fronsac wines are powerful and distinguished, with notes of berries, pepper, and spices.
