Ingredients:

  • 100g / 3.53oz. white chocolate or pink chocolate coating
  • 100g / 3.53oz. milk chocolate
  • 100g / 3.53oz. dark or cooking chocolate
  • 300-350g / 10.58-12.35oz. strawberries

You will also need a draining grid or wrapping paper and small bowls for the chocolate.

Preparation:

  1. Wash strawberries, pat dry and set aside. Strawberries with bruises are not suitable, as they will not hold up and, depending on where the bruise is, may not be a perfect visual match for your surprise.
  2. Melt the chocolate or chocolate coating. If you have a chocolate block, coarsely chop them first and then melt them in a water bath. Melt the chocolate coating according to package directions.
  3. You can either work one color at a time or use them in parallel.
  4. Set the melted chocolate aside separately in bowls. Hold the strawberries by the green and dip them into the chocolate. Depending on the pattern you want to create, let the strawberries cool on the baking paper and take the next color or decorate the strawberries with the leftover chocolate. If necessary, refrigerate until ready to eat.
