Tiroler Jause

At home where the mountains are

Today we will give you a small peek of our life here at our Headquarter in Tyrol, Kufstein. One traditional dish is the “Tiroler Jause”, a plate full of cheese, ham, bacon and more, which is mostly eaten after a long hike to the top of the mountain in a small cabin, where food is offered.

The “Tiroler Jause” is often served on a wooden plate with different locally produced cheese and bacon varieties. If you want to try out the traditional “Tiroler Jause” you need:

  • Nuts

  • Eggs

  • Tyrolian Bacon

  • “Bergwurzerl” – traditional sausage type

  • Tyrolian mountain cheese

  • Pickles

  • Radishes

  • Homemade Rye Bread

  • “Kaminwurzen” – traditional sausage type

  • Tomatoes

  • Tyrolian Soft Cheese

Served with a nice, chilled Riesling in our RIEDEL Max Riesling glasses, this dish is a highlight for every wine party, as a appetizer or like we do it in Tyrol as a main dish.
