RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance
Venetian tradition meets modern technology
RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance is the combination of two successful series, marrying refined artistic craftsmanship with the precision of machine production.
With a handmade stem and base and a machine-made optic bowl, RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance is another evolution in modern glassware by this industry-leading brand. The series features different bowl shapes, each presented in one of several color variants.
The principle of combining fine art and craft has long been advocated by Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus movement, and function-led design has dominated RIEDEL designs for many years.
As yet another example of this: "RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance can be seen as a small tribute to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus," explains Maximilian J. Riedel, 11th generation and CEO of the family-owned business.
The combination of two masterpieces
Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL was the first varietal-specific glass collection with colored, handcrafted stems, a milestone in the company's history.
RIEDEL Performance, the first mechanically manufactured glass collection with the "optic impact", convinced the international world of wine with its special functionality in just one year following its market launch.
